ALETA BOLLINS

Teacher

Aleta Bollins received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in history at Cal State Fullerton. Her current teaching credential is from ACSI and includes the Bible component. She began teaching 2nd grade in 1995, but after a few years found a home in the junior high department. Mrs. Bollins is passionate about teaching English to her students because reading and writing well are essential to human communication. Although she loves children of all ages and has taught lessons to audiences from preschool through adults, junior highers are her favorite (sarcasm is her love language, and lame puns are her specialty).

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Bollins and her husband, Rod, have worked in youth ministry at Bethany with junior high students. Mrs. Bollins took a hiatus from teaching for about 10 years to stay home with her four children when they were young. She and her husband got married in 1998, and her favorite thing to do outside of school is hang out with her husband and four kids.
