PE TEACHER / AD

Alexandria Poulsen is delighted to serve as the Athletic Director and P.E. teacher at Bethany Christian Academy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach, before pursuing her multiple subject teaching credential. After five years working in the Long Beach Unified School District, Mrs. Poulsen sought God’s direction for her next chapter. She asked Jesus where she should apply, and the only school that He said to apply to was Bethany! She is so thankful that Jesus brought her to be part of a community where she can share her faith and encourage students to grow.

As a P.E. teacher and coach, Mrs. Poulsen enjoys helping students build confidence, practice teamwork, and persevere through challenges. She hopes her students discover the joy of staying active while learning to encourage one another and use their God-given abilities.

Mrs. Poulsen and her husband, Christopher, met in high school in 2013 and have been together ever since! They share their home with two dogs and two cats. They currently do not have kids, but they want four! Outside of school, Mrs. Poulsen enjoys camping, spending time at the beach, and decorating their home for every holiday and season. Her love of the beach even inspired their wedding location on the shores of Ventura! Mrs. Poulsen’s favorite color is pink, math is her favorite subject, and she proudly embraces her inner nerd!
