KAREN WATERBURY

Art Teacher

Karen Waterbury received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Graphic Communication with an emphasis on Graphic Design from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo in 1996. She has her ACSI Teaching Certificate with a focus on teaching art. Mrs. Waterbury was a homeschool teacher for 11 years with Anaheim Magnolia Christian School, where she taught her daughters and yearly co-op classes. The Lord called her to teach art at Bethany Christian Academy in 2020.

Mrs. Waterbury is an alumnus of BCA, where she attended 2nd grade, in the first year it opened, through 8th grade. She volunteers in the kids’ ministry at her church where she teaches preschoolers and has served for eight years at VBS.

Mrs. Waterbury got married in 1996 to her husband, Mike, and they have two grown daughters. They have one dog, two cats, and a bunny. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, drawing, ceramics, crocheting, cooking, gardening, and crafting.
